1. Things you will need to apply for a personal loan:

Proof of income – We will require your two most recent pay slips, or in case that you're self-employed, your last two years' tax returns/financial statements and the most recent tax notice of assessment issued to you by the Australian Tax Office (ATO).

Bank statements - We'll need to see statements for any savings, loans or credit cards you have with any other financial institutions.

Personal identification – We will need to see one of these to avoid any mistakes and frauds

  • 2.   Australian driver's license or firearms license
  • 3.   Proof of age card

2. Things you will need for car loan:

Insurance Policy Documents - This will have to be organized and paid earlier to the buying of the car, and you'll need to specify the financier of the vehicle when taking out the insurance.

Tax invoice - We'll need a tax invoice for your car that includes some standard information

  • 1.   Car registration number
  • 2.   Vehicle ID number (VIN) or chassis number
  • 3.   Engine number
  • 4.   Purchase price of the car

The credit decision - final approval

  • 1.   We make enquiries about your needs and wants
  • 2.   We will recommend a lender and loan
  • 3.   You agree to proceed with our recommendation
  • 4.   Together we complete all the required application paperwork
  • 5.   We provide you a list of supporting documents, as mentioned above
  • 6.   Application is prepared by Longman Loans and submitted to the opted lender, incorporating comprehensive notes and all the required supporting documents
  • 7.   Conditional approval granted by the lender (Pre-approval granted for loans without a property).
  • 8.   Any conditions are satisfied
  • 9.   Unconditional approval granted
  • 10.   Loan offer and documents are prepared and sent in the mail
  • 11.   Borrower returns signed loan and mortgage documents to the lender or their solicitor

Funding your loan

After evaluation and sanction of your signed loan documents, Longman Loans will lead funds to the title company, who will pay the funds and record the essential paperwork. Now, your loan is considered settled.


The mortgage process

Discussion with us –The discussion will involve understanding your financial and lifestyle goals. We then search through multiple of home loans to find the one that is suitable to meet your requirements. We will also answer any questions you will have regarding your loans.

Applying for the home loan - Once you've made your ideal choice of the loan based on your requirements, we'll prepare you the loan application and channel you throughout the process.

Conditional approval – Your chosen lender will give you conditional approval while they organize the property valuations and conduct a credit check. We will keep up with you and the lender to ensure both parties are informed of each step of the application.

The approval by the lender generally takes 2-3 business days to take place.

Unconditional approval - Unconditional approval is the official acceptance that the lender has approved your home loan.

This usually takes 4-7 business days for the banks to assess and finalize your application.

Managing your finances - We'll help you to manage your money through this major change, and work out a plan for the future and help protect what you're building along the way. This will be done through discussions based on financial advices.

Paperwork - Once your loan is finalized by the bank, they'll send through all of your loan documents. We organize a time to meet and help you complete all the documentation. This entire procedure may usually take 9-10 days.

Settling your loan - If you're purchasing a property, your attorney will organize settlement directly with the lender, according to the settlement date on the contract of sale.

If you're refinancing your present home loan, the lenders will communicate directly to exchange all the documents.

This generally takes 4-14 business days and is generally negotiated as part of the contract of sale. Different length periods can be organized depending on yours and the seller's needs.
